If you're interested in joining a conservation project and living in a gorgeous country, then look no further than this trip! Costa Rica is one of the most stable and well developed countries in Central America, ideal for volunteers who want to experience Latin America.
Volunteers work at a conservation project at one of our partner National Parks. Previous groups have worked at Barra Honda and Diria National Parks; both about two hours drive from Liberia.
During your stay you will be given an extensive tour of the park. You'll also be involved in a variety of on-going projects which may include reforestation work, a mammal study, a butterfly and bat study, painting buildings and restoring trails.
Volunteers live in shared dormitory accommodation in the park itself and there is a communal area where everyone eats together.
An adventurous weekend trip to an outdoor destination is included for all our High School Specials volunteers. Experience all the beauty this magnificent country has to offer while helping out on a volunteer project. Pura Vida!
Every year, thousands of High School Special volunteers actively make a difference around the world. During their time abroad, they contribute towards achieving long-term goals and make a long-lasting positive impact on the communities where they work.
