Teaching in Eastern Europe

Projects Abroad volunteer on teaching placement in Romania

You can impact the lives of numerous children by volunteering to teach in Eastern Europe. You don’t have to be a teacher to volunteer abroad on our Teaching projects, and there is no need to have a TEFL or TESOL qualification. You don’t even need to speak the local language where you are volunteering. The Teaching programme is open to all volunteers, whether you are on a gap year, at university or wanting a career break.

You will find a warm welcome awaits you from our students in Eastern Europe. Volunteers have the opportunity to teach students in primary and secondary schools in an urban setting, and often work alongside local teachers as collaborative counterparts.

Teach in Eastern Europe - What is it Like?

You will find that most schools in Eastern Europe are equipped with a wide range of resources and educational tools, but are understaffed in their language departments. Volunteers will thus have the chance to teach English, but also French or German if they wish. If you have specialised skills or interests, you might even be able to teach an extracurricular activity.

Whatever your abilities and talents, Teaching placements in Eastern Europe are worthwhile and rewarding, giving you the opportunity to gain international teaching experience and impart valuable language skills to others.
