Learn Vietnamese in Vietnam

Locals working in rice fields at Mai Chau valley

Take the opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating Vietnamese culture on one of Projects Abroad’s Vietnamese Language Courses. Vietnamese is the official language of Vietnam and is the first language of approximately 86% of its population.

Taught by a qualified language teacher, the lessons are tailored to your personal level and can be adapted to your interests. Living with a local family, you'll learn quickly and can practise what you have learned with your hosts each day.

There are two options when it comes to learning Vietnamese. You can choose to take part in an intensive standalone Language Course, where you will receive around 15 hours of tuition per week.

After completing your Vietnamese Language Course, you can also choose to spend time working on one of our Vietnam volunteer projects, such as Teaching or Care, and put your newly acquired language skills to use in a practical working environment.

Alternatively, you can choose to sign up for our 5-hour, 14-hour, or 30-hour Language Course add-ons, which run alongside your main volunteer project. These prices are in addition to your main project price. Please take a look at our Vietnam language prices for more information.
