If you are looking to travel abroad and make a difference within a short period of time, volunteering on the Care & Community Grown-up Special in Nepal is a great opportunity to make a positive impact. For one or two weeks, you will work alongside a group of like-minded people your own age in schools and care centres. No previous experience is necessary. All we require is a passion for helping others.

This trip follows a set schedule. Your daily volunteer work will include conducting educational activities for children and doing important renovation work that will benefit the community. In addition, you will participate in outreach work and help provide disadvantaged children with dental care education that they desperately need. Volunteers will also have the chance to visit a centre for malnourished children, as well as an HIV/AIDS centre.

"I spent some time on a general project with mostly 18-25 year-olds and really enjoyed this. However, the opportunity to work with and spend leisure time with people my own age on Grown-up Special for 2 weeks was invaluable and greatly enhanced both my working experience and my experience of the country, culture, and weekend trips. The availability of this package was an important aspect of me choosing Projects Abroad for my trip."

In Nepal, volunteers will stay at a hotel. In the evenings and on the weekend, Projects Abroad staff will organise a variety of cultural activities and trips that will allow you to explore the local culture and see more of Nepal’s stunning scenery.
