Learn Romanian in Romania
Romanian is the official and national language of Romania. As a Romance language it has its roots in Latin and you may be surprised by many similarities to French and Spanish.
As with all our Language Courses, the pace and teaching style will be tailored to suit your abilities and needs. A good understanding of the Romanian language will enable you to make the most of your free time in Romania and really engage with the local people.
While living with a Romanian-speaking family in Brasov, you will be able to explore the sights of your chosen city while you immerse yourself in the Romanian language.
There are two options when it comes to learning Romanian. You can choose to take part in an intensive standalone Language Course, where you will receive around 15 hours of tuition per week.
After completing your Romanian Language Course, you can also choose to spend time working on one of our Romania volunteer projects, such as Teaching or Care, and put your newly acquired language skills to use in a practical working environment.
Alternatively, you can choose to sign up for our 5-hour, 14-hour, or 30-hour Language Course add-ons, which run alongside your main volunteer project. These prices are in addition to your main project price. Please take a look at our Romania language prices for more information.
